Private kindergarten applications

Applying to Kindergarten at a private school is a unique process. Although the school admission staff and faculty are keenly aware of the wide variation in children’s development and learning, they are interested in observing how individual children demonstrate their knowledge and abilities during an informal interview. During an interview, children visit the school and are observed as they complete tasks related to many different cognitive and general skills.

Preparing for this process includes the child’s understanding of and proficiency in many areas as well as their overall approach to both learning and interacting with others. Dr. Cappelloni assists families and their children in the entire Kindergarten application process – choosing the right fit school(s), creating a timeline, completing the application questions and short essays, and preparing for the interview.
